What to do if Bleeding Occurs After Oral Surgery?
If you have some bleeding or even a lot after you get some teeth pulled, make sure you have some gauze in your mouth to soak up the blood. Do not eat or drink anything for up to an hour or two after getting the oral surgery done.
What to do if Swelling Happens? If you experience some swelling after you start to get your teeth pulled, you may want to use a warm compress on the outside of the mouth to get the swelling to go down. If the swelling is too bad, call us right away, and we will tell you what to do or have you come in so we can help you faster and easier.
What Should My Diet Be Like After Oral Surgery?
Make sure you eat soft foods and mostly liquids after you get the oral surgery done. If you eat anything too solid, it can cause more pain to the area where we pulled your teeth.
What Can I do About the Pain? We will call you in strong painkillers one time, and after that, you will need to take over-the-counter pain relievers. Just be sure that if you take aspirin for pain, swallowing it is better for easing the pain. Do not ever place aspirin on the gum or tooth area in case of chemical burn that can cause even more pain for you.
